if you follow on instagram, you know i've been in dallas the last week working on two homes. things are getting pretty in the big easy. plus, martha the airedale ate a box. and a tape measurer, and part of my face.
this anthro rug (see the navy fringe?) couldn't be more perfect for the room we're using it in.
back at home today, we're getting ready for first friday tonight - it's our first time participating in the city-wide art event on the first friday night of each month, and we've fancied up the store to feature all of our new art.
what, i just need to straighten the top one, right?
tonight we'll have drinks and a baked potato truck parked right out front (!). i'm envisioning it a lot like this (NSFW!):
well, maybe not. but we're offering a storewide discount, and we've got tons of new stuff in! bring the hubs, bring your dog and buy some art.
in other news. don't you hate it when bloggers tell you they've been SO busy and have SO much great stuff coming up to share with you - you just have to WAIT! same. but i'm different, and special, so you should know i've been so busy working on some new stuff for the blog and i can't wait to share it with you ... you just have to hold tight the tiniest bit. how's that feel? anticipatory?
brian meares and i are headed to bonnaroo next week. for some reason the heavens have shined upon us, and we have all-access passes so i'm going to hang with kanye and elton in the hospitality tent and take some pictures for us to judge when i get back. the big question -- what am i gonna wear? things have got to be Right this year. i'm not trying for kate bosworth or anything, but i'd settle with a pregnant mila kunis on a bad hair day. i grabbed a few things (this dress!) from my friend leah at lovemosaic.com, and i stopped by madewell last night to get a hat, a dress, and yes, i plan to romp. i'm thinking my hudson booties are the ticket (it gets so dusty and gross in flip flops) and i'll have plenty of tattlys on hand (my faves are coming to the shop next week!).
